Audio Portfolio – Ai-Austin

***IN PROGRESS – NOT COMPLETE as of 6/20/2020***

A slight percursor….

I have just reached the end of a 3.5 year journey in higher education and achieved my Bachelor of Science in Audio Production at The Art Institute of Austin. A portfolio of items that I’ve worked on are available to view and/or listen to here. This is my second degree at Art Institutes with the first being in Dallas, previously completing an Associates Degree in Music & Video Business.

I’ve been a vocalist in many projects and productions through the last 37 years ranging from musical theater, film, and television, and have performed live on both coasts and in Las Vegas. I am also an actor, and an author, working on two books at the present time and have edited two children’s books as well, with another editing position to complete soon. Over the years I have also branched out into webdesign and hosting as well as photography.

My main goal in going back to school – especially as a non-traditional student was to sharpen my technical skills and freshen up recording techniques as I am working on an album of original material which I hope to have out on September 1, 2020. It is an autobiographical concept project called “Worth The Wait”. As a composer of pop music and most frequently recording at home, I found my technical skills rusty as I approached the project starting in 2014. I do enjoy recording other people and producing but my initial and main goals were meant to bolster my personal musical efforts.

The main site here has been up for many years and the non-portfolio side contains many years of information, stories, and experiences. It is presented in my blog which you are more than free to peruse – just be aware that it is my public and sometimes quite opinionated blog in the pages other than the Audio Portfolio, and reflects many views on subjects not attached to production or the arts.

The projects you will find here are several video projects in which I was tasked with either stripping the existing soundtrack and/or foley and creating new material to replace it. I quite enjoy that work. Several of the audio projects are my own original material and are marked accordingly, with 2 vocals and 1 instrumental that is currently being worked on an still in demo stages.
