WORTH THE WAIT
I have been working on an album for the last five years with several “stops” and “starts” due to lots of different things, but it’s all good – the desire to get it right put me back into school full time, and I’m working on my 2nd audio production/engineering degree. I’m using the material from the album to be my graduation senior project – and that’s pretty cool by me. I’ll be graduating in June 2020 and the album is due in May of the same year. It’ll be a 6 year project at that time!
Additionally, I wanted to make an album with music I wanted to hear and that I would like to listen to. I very intentionally made myself stay away from radio for a good portion of this time in order to not pick up stray sounds for the incorrect influences or inspirations.
The album is a collection of very personal songs detailing my path till now, at 53, almost 54, it’s finally making some kind of tangible progress and flow… but it’s been a hell of a ride. The original idea for this album started at 25, with just a song title and has grown since then…. it has a neat story to it all.
